Enhancement of cyber educational system of Montenegro

um_tempusDescription: The ECESM project has been designed to enhance overall cyber security posture of the Montenegro (ME) by accelerating the availability of educational and training resources designed to improve the cyber behaviour, skills, and knowledge of every segment of the population.

The main project objective is to improve, develop and implement standards, guidelines and procedures at national system levels in ME in order to enable creation of agile and highly skilled forces capable of responding to a dynamic and rapidly developing array of e-threats.

ECESM project will build highly aware ME society through establishing a cyber-education framework through providing:

  • extensive workshops, presentations and promotions for citizens and all levels of staff involved in broad swaths of the economy and individual actors, representatives of organizations, etc.;
  • specialized training for specific groups of workers, related to their range of responsibilities and jurisdictions, ranging from state and local governments, private sector, critical infrastructure owners/operators, large companies, small businesses, academic institutions, and other interested parties;
  • Accredited master program recognized and supported by relevant international academic society, for continuous future education of highly skilled professionals in specific areas of cyber security.

Project goals and outcomes will fulfil issues defined through the ME process of examinations with the EU (screening chapter 10- Information society and media, Dec, 2012). Quality Control and Monitoring of project activities and results will be realized continuously throughout the whole duration of the project.

Support and inclusion of students with disabilities at Higher education institutions in Montenegro  – SINC@HE

tempus Description: The SINC@HE project has been designed to improve the quality and relevance of support and inclusion of students with disabilities in Montenegro. The main project objective is to create the conditions and standards that will assimilate the quality of inclusion of students with disabilities in EU HEIs and will be harmonized according to EU practices and policies. Developed standards would be incorporated into existing legal and sublegal acts at the national levels and at the HE institutional levels. A long term objective of the outcomes will be to strengthen the open society values regarding the inclusion of students with disabilities in HEIs. In order to provide a solid base for the implementation of newly developed inclusive standards the SINC@HE project will build necessary capacities through establishing a framework for improving support and inclusion and quality assurance at HEIs that will be incorporated in HEI regulatory documents.

HEIs have to keep the academic and non academic staff well informed and trained on the needs of students with disabilities. Thus, the SINC@HE project will provide extensive training for all levels of staff involved in support and inclusion of students with disabilities in HEIs.

Results of this project are:

  • Student advisory office is established in order to provide information and help to students with disabilities. In this office all purchased special equipment is situated and students can rent it for free or use in Office.
  • Web sites of Universities are adjusted to student with disabilities. Lot of special features are integrated in existing web site, so now web site is completely accessible to students with visual impairment, hearing damage.
  • Moodle platform is adopted, that mean that all materials (books, exam tests, presentation, etc.) for students with disabilities have option to be transferred from text to the speech.
  • University staff is trained to recognize special needs of students with different kind of disabilities and provide materials/organise exam in adequate form for them.
  • Universities are delegated person who is responsible for solving problems of students with disabilities.
  • University of Montenegro, Mediterranean University and the University of Donja Gorica, signed the.”Charter relating to the support and inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education institutions in Montenegro”

Adriatic IPA: Platform for the Information Technology Aimed at Getting Opportunities to Reduce ICT gap in the Adriatic area – PITAGORA

Description: The general objectives of the Project are to develop ICT at the project area for the purpose of development of economy activities and support of public administration to the businesses. Specific objectives are building of ICT infrastructure, expansion of the services public administration offer, building the ICT capacities and promotion of usage of new technologies and its potentials.

IMTM was engaged by Public Utility Company “Budva”, Montenegro to make a plan for reducing gap in the Adriatic area, and implement planned actions. IMTMs’ role in the project was:

  • The development of a Document Management System (DMS)
  • Developing a software for the monitoring of fleet resources, monitoring fleet serves, monitoring inventories, etc
  • Mobile software applications for the application, verification, waste timetable for enterprises and private consumers including live tracking of vehicles (Android app: The Clean Environment Budva)
  • Processing of the web portal for application waste for enterprises
  • Installation of WiFi network for the Utility Service at Trg Sunca (hotspot)
  • Implementation of GPS system

Conducting survey among HPC providers and competence centers and Enterprises from automotive and electronic industry in Montenegro

IMTM is sub-contracted within InterReg Danube Transnational project “INNOHP C- High-performance computing for effective innovation in the Danube Region“ (Reference No.: DTP1-1-260-1.1/2).

(Project) Description:

The main objective of InnoHPC is to create transnational HPC laboratory for co-designing knowledge-intensive innovative products with high value-added in transnational value-chains. Key outputs are transnational InnoHPC Lab pooling regional HPC infrastructure and competencies, web platform providing HPC access, integrated services and capacity building tools, and sustainability toolkit, to support durability of InnoHPC Lab beyond the project.

InnoHPC targets SMEs and clusters, providing the opportunity to increase efficiency of innovations and join transnational value-chains in the Danube region. Higher education and research institutions with HPC will get access to exciting real-life cases and opportunities to exploit their entrepreneurial potential. Policy-makers and business support organizations will receive a valuable institutional support for their policies and initiatives.

IMTM was engaged by INNOHP project partner Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi and Prokletije to conduct survey among HPC providers and competence centers and Enterprises from automotive and electronic industry in Montenegro and to select participants for regional workshops and make necessary arrangements for their participation.

IMTM is sub-contracted within IPA CBC Serbia Montenegro project “Support to Inclusive Education and Training for Everyday Life for Children and Youth with Disabilities” (Reference No.: EuropeAid/137273/DD/ACT/Multi: IPA No 2016/378 273_12)

Description: The overall objective of the project is improvement of social inclusion and quality of life of children and youth with disabilities (CYWD) in Montenegro and Serbia through the development of cooperation in the cross-border regions and the use and sharing of human resources and achievements.

IMTM was engaged by Day care center for children and youth with disabilities „Pljevlja“ to design specialized software for education in the following  fields: mathematics, computational literacy, linguistic exercises, lifestyle skills and drawing.

IMTM developed semi-customisable, multimedia software solutions in learning rehabilitation through use of assistive technology, developed on native language (Montenegrin or Serbian).  One of key software goals is to stimulate few development fields simultaneously, with an emphasis on directing the attention, users’ concentrations and their adequate retention.
